A song for Bob

Bob Dylan

This song was spontaneously and jokingly composed by Lama Ivo in the middle of the Atlantic on the ship Ati. He was listening to Bob Dylan and complained that such a good poet deserves a true dharma song, and immediately wrote this. We think it is funny and nice, enjoy it:

What good is time?

What good is time,
Wondering all around
Everybody obsessed
Beings in distress

Having nothing to hide,
Going against the tide
We are all in the pit
No use having wit

Chorus:
Left and right we all fight
Looking for glory and might
Chasing the fickle delight
Mating and faking the light.

Fear keeps us distracted
Feelings and senses protracted
Further and further away
How do we keep them at bay?

Be the first there to know
Have upper hand in the show
Choosing freedom is fair
Look, there’s nothing out there!

Chorus:
Left and right we all fight
Looking for glory and might
Chasing the fickle delight
Mating and faking the light.

– composed by Ivo for Bob
